Mutant Mudds has arrived, along with other games and a new demo.

Four new downloadable games were added to Nintendo's downloadable services, along with another demo on the eShop.

One of the biggest releases of the week was Mutant Mudds. This highly acclaimed 2D platformer sets the hero, Max, on a quest to eliminate the Mutant Mudds. You can read our review of the game here. The game can be downloaded now for $8.99.

Other titles available for download on both the eShop and DSiWare services include Lola's Alphabet Train and Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish. Lola's Alphabet Train is aimed at a younger demographic and is intended to assist in teaching them the alphabet. It is available for $1.99.

The other new title, Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish is an adventure game where players control Flush the Goldfish in a robot suit as he sets out to rescue his owner from an evil monster. It can be purchased for $4.99.

WiiWare received one game this week, Newton vs. The Horde. This physics-based arcade style game has players assisting scientists in fighting off monsters in almost thirty levels. It can be downloaded for 500 Wii Points.

Lastly, a demo of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games was released. Like last week's Resident Evil demo, you can only play the demo 30 times. You can read impressions of the demo here.

Europe only got some leftovers this week, no Mutant Mudds. We did have Flipper 2 before though.

Is it four weeks in a row now with no 3DS virtual console?

purevalJanuary 28, 2012

Downloaded Mutant Mudds and I have been loving it. It reminds me of classic Mega Man games. Must remember not to chuck the 3DS across the room.

You can have Balloon Kid in exchange for Mutant Mudds.

We have Balloon Kid already. I own it. It's not good.

KDR_11kJanuary 28, 2012

Yeah, it's what we got this week. I want Mudds instead.
