Those who want a little more from The Last Story can enjoy this collector's set.

The Last Story will be receiving a special edition in Europe, according to a listing by Swiss retailer 1ADVD.

The special edition of the game will contain the following items once it is released:

- A copy of the game

- Premium steelbook (a metal case for the game and the bundle)

- Mini art book

- Soundtrack CD consisting of 7 tracks

The Last Story Special Edition will be sold for 75 Euros (approximately 96 American dollars) and will be released alongside the regular edition on February 24.

Man, if that was the full soundtrack they'd probably have sold me on this LE.  As it is, it looks like if I want the soundtrack I'll just import the full thing from CDJapan like I did Xenoblade's.  Steelbooks are always cool and art books are alright, but it's the music and the amount of it that sells me on these LEs (assuming there's no exclusive in-game content, of course).  It's good to see NoE putting this much support behind the game, though.  Some other Nintendo divisions...*glares at NoA, with the exception of Metroid Prime Trilogy*...could learn from them on that.

It has an reduced launch price of 30 pounds ($47ish) for the standard edition.  Waiting to see UK reviews before preordering myself (Japanese rated this one high 38/40).

Strongly considering an import preorder for The Last Story and will probably follow through unless NoA announces something before the European release. (Seems unlikely they will announce anything though, since Xenoblade isn't even going to be released by that time. I doubt that NoA be willing to risk any money without seeing how Xenoblade sells here and The Last Story sells in other regions. Their loss.)

Importing the game for $47 is pretty reasonable since it will end up costing nearly the same here on release day... if it ever gets released. Getting the special edition is also appealing, but not for $97. Maybe some online retailers will be selling at a discount? Zavvi, don't let me down!

Oh this is pretty cool, I am still hoping this would come state side.

$97 is based on the Euro price, $47 on the pound price. Games are significantly cheaper in the UK than in mainland Europe so the difference will be much smaller. The likely price for the standard edition in Euros is 50€ ($63 but most retailers go below the MSRP so 40€ is more likely).

*Cough* Read my post ;0.  It's standard price is at 30 british pounds which is roughly $47 american dollars.  Actually just double checked and it's actually 28.95GBP which is $44.65 from Zavvi.com.  Preorder it here.

Is 30 the MSRP or just the retailer price? That might just be the retailer going below the MSRP.
