The classic Chinese game will be re-invigorated with online play and StreetPass features on the 3DS.
Mahjong 3D will feature online play as well as StreetPass features when it releases sometime in the fall.
Developed by DTP Interactive, Mahjong 3D will recreate some imperial battles through several mahjong matches, placing players in the role of the emperor Qin Shi Huanngdi as they defeat several armies across the land.
The game is divided into 80 matches on seven levels. Players will also be able to select the route they want to take.
In terms of multiplayer, Mahjong 3D will feature two-player co-op throughout the various scenarios. In addition, the game will feature online play through Wi-Fi. StreetPass will also be implemented. When two 3DSes cross paths they will unlock content within the game.
Mahjong 3D has not been given a release date in North America.
