Certain DSiWare Titles 'in Limbo' on 3DS

Pinball Pulse, Art Academy, and Domo games are missing and cannot be transferred from DSi systems.

Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon, two Art Academy titles, and five Domo games remain missing from the eShop over two weeks after the store's launch, and their status is "in limbo" according to Nintendo Customer Service.

These Nintendo-published titles are part of a group of games that were initially listed on the DSiWare non-transferrable list, but were removed within hours of the list's initial posting. Despite being listed on Nintendo's website as being available for purchase on the eShop, these titles are nowhere to be found.

As a consequence, previously purchased copies cannot be transferred from Nintendo DSi to 3DS. Attempting the transfer results in an error message stating that the title cannot be transferred since it does not appear in the eShop.

Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon was developed by Fuse Games. That company folded and was restarted as Silverball Studios. We contacted them for comment, but were deferred to Nintendo.

After getting no response over the Internet from Nintendo, we called their customer service number. After consulting with her supervisor, the CSR explained that Pinball Pulse and any game that is not on the non-transferrable list, but also does not show up in the eShop is "in limbo." That means that Nintendo is planning to bring the games to the eShop, but is having unspecified difficulties.

There is no set timeframe for when such titles may appear, but once they do, transfer from DSi to 3DS should be enabled.

In limbo is better than no longer transferable.

Basically, the Pikmin that transfer them over were eaten by a Bulborb. It's sad.

Maybe those games were a Bulborb in disguise.
