All five generations of Pokémon will be available this time around.

With Super Pokémon Scramble's release date just over a month away in Japan, Nintendo has opened an official site for the game today. Along with new information on the game, the site also includes the first trailer of the game.

Super Pokémon Scramble plays very similar to its WiiWare predecessor in which players take control of a wind-up Pokémon and battle through waves of wild Pokémon. The stages are played overhead, and at the end of every stage is a boss Pokémon, which is usually a larger form of a legendary Pokémon, though sometimes it can just be an evolved form of an already encountered Pokémon.

Unlike Pokémon Rumble, Super Pokémon Scramble will feature every single Pokémon to date, from the first generation to the fifth.

The game also also utilizes the wireless capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS. Two players can team up wirelessly and play the game's stages cooperatively. The SpotPass feature is also utilized to allow players to find their friend's Miis and Pokémon in their copy of the game.

Super Pokémon Scrambles releases in Japan on July 27 and retails for ¥4,800.

Oh, that's good news. Except I doubt I'd know anyone who'd get this game. Heck, I don't know anyone who got the 3DS besides myself.

Wirelessly?  Local or WiFi?  WiFi or no-buy. :(

It sounds local. But I don't care, I loved the orginal Rumble.
