Interplay's classic shooter will entertain Wii fans next month.

The WiiWare and PC version of Interplay's MDK 2 will be released on May 9.

Interplay's official website has listed the dates of their upcoming titles, and the WiiWare and PC HD versions of MDK2 have been given a May 9 release.

The original MDK2 was developed by BioWare and was released on the Sega Dreamcast and PC in 2000. The game is a third person shooter game in which players take control of three characters, each with unique powers and abilities.

The WiiWare version was originally announced in June of 2010, and was originally stated to be released on the Winter of that same year.

All I can say is FUCK YEAH! MDK2 is awesome. I don't think I've ever actually beat the game, but I remember playing up until the last level on the PC (may have been Dreamcast). It looked so awesome back in the day using Glide on my VooDoo 3 card...

I never played very far into the game, which is odd... I liked it, and actually had it on my PC and Dreamcast.

i remember that art but I never played the game. When I clicked on the story I was thinking Mortal Kombat 2 for some reason....

I have the Dreamcast version, will the WiiWare version be a port or an improved remake of some sort?

I'm pretty sure that it's just a port. The PC however is getting an updated HD version.
