Please show and tell us everything about your 3DS launch experience.

We're all excited for the 3DS launch, but, as with any console launch, we all know the most exciting part is the chase. So, send your tales of launch lines and events to 3DS-at-nintendoworldreport.com. Don't forget to send us your pictures as well. As long as it's appropriate, it will be included in a round-up next week.

Enjoy the launch! It only happens once every five years or so!

Will you guys be taking videos?

Sure, send them in! You'll probably have to find a place to share or upload it though.

dropbox
tinypic
photobucket
twitvid
facebook

those are off the top of my head that do video, but I'm sure there are plenty more.

Fucking hell, I failed to get the screen protectors on without getting a lot of dust on the sticky side.

Yesterday I asked my local electronics store to reserve a 3DS for me, they didn't ask for the 50€ downpayment that their ads talked about but when I went there to pick it up today they still had a full shelf of the things so whatever. The system itself was 222€ there, instead of the 250€ it's everywhere else. Unfortunately I bought a screen protector pack for 5€ that I failed to get on there (first misread the instructions and tried to apply it sticky side up so it was dusted by the time I corrected that, later attempts with cut down bits of the top screen cover or a DSi cover I had left didn't work out at all) so that was a waste of money.

AHHHHH!!!!! Just one friggen day to go! (Might as well be a friggen year to go with how long it's gonna take the time to pass by till I'm able to pick mine up!) I CAN'T WAIT!!! ONE MORE DAY TO GO!!!

(Just so I'm clear on my last one, I was not counting today with the release date.)

Got up at 5 am for a store to open at 10 am. I could have just walked in at 10am like everyone else not sleeping in the car and picked one up.

I walked into Best Buy when it opened and picked one off the display table with Pilotwings Resort and Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition. Simple as that.  :P:

I had a conversation with a man in a suit wearing a trench coat eating a foot long piece of bread from Panera Bread.

I sh!t you not. This dude was freaking scary.

I just emailed in my story.  Flippin' crazy.  Make sure your 3DS doesn't have a floppy hinge.

If it's on a different topic, then why are you airing it in another topic? :)

Stay tuned. We've very busy juggling a new system launch, our lives, and more. The winners will be posted soon.

I'd participate, but my story wasn't very interesting.  I sat in line, by myself, for several hours, playing the Hotel Dusk sequel.  Then, about ten minutes till, as I was still the only one there, I went to the back, grabbed my system and the two titles I was picking up, then made my way to the front to pay.  Yippie.
