Original 3D animations, sport, and short-form 3D satellite video content depending on country partners.

Nintendo of Europe announced partnerships with media organisations to deliver 3D video content to the Nintendo 3DS at their press conference earlier today.

Eurosport, Europe's leading sports entertainment group, will bring 3D sports video to the console. Aardman Animations, known for Wallace and Gromit, are bringing a series of original 3D video shorts starring Shaun the Sheep.

On a country level, Nintendo is in discussion with partners to bring additional video content. In the UK, British Sky Broadcasting will provide short-form content from Sky 3D.

Additionally, Nintendo of Europe are in discussions with potential partners for public hotspot access with companies across Europe such as tmn, METEOR, Guglielmo, Linkem, KPN, Deutsche Telekom and BTFON.

I hope ESPN does something similar in the US. They've been pushing ESPN3.com and their 3D content pretty aggressively, so this could kill 2 birds with one stone.

I'm starting to get light headed from holding my breath while waiting for the Netflix 3D announcement for 3DS service.

Surely Nintendo wouldn't overlook such an obvious System Seller and has something in the works ready to announce today and implement within the first few months after launch. Maybe an E3 launch or something.

It's official: I hate Europe.
Getting the 3DS two whole days before me AND additional 3D content right from launch with the promise to get more??? Wtf NOA? You guys sleeping over here? Lol.

Seriously though, companies in the U.S are probably going to do a wait and see, but once the 3DS has Wii-like droughts they'll provide content.

I'm hoping there is a NinProxy3DS so we can watch all the EUR/JPN 3D content since we apparently don't have anything announced yet.
