The disco-loving and puzzle-solving robot will make his gaming debut at the end of December.

Developer Fugazo recently announced that their first WiiWare title, Frobot, will be available for download in North America on December 20. Retailing for 1000 Wii points, Frobot will feature a puzzle-filled single player campaign along with a local multiplayer mode for up to four players.

The whimsical story finds Frobot on a mission to rescue his five missing girlfriends. During the course of his journey, the big-haired protagonist will use funky weapons such as a disco ball, and even collect powerful hair picks.

A demo of Frobot will also be available on the WiiWare store when the game launches. Europe will see a downloadable release of the game in 2011.

Talkback

I remember hearing very negative impressions of Frobot back at PAX East. However, that was a long time ago, and hopefully the game has improved. I'll definitely try the demo!

This video is amazing, by the way.
