European gamers have a couple of months before they can unravel Kirby's Epic Yarn.

The European release date for Kirby's Epic Yarn has been announced for February 25, 2011.

While Donkey Kong Country Returns was released in time for the holiday season, and has been available since December 3, shortly after the US release of November 27, Kirby's Epic Yarn will not be available until early next year in Europe.

Nintendo's announcement gave us some clues on localized terms for the game. While the title is still Kirby's Epic Yarn, the Prince and Kirby will be collecting strands of "magic thread" to sew Patch Land together, rather than magic yarn. Kirby is said to be made of wool, but uses a yarn whip to roll enemies into balls of yarn. The apartments where their friends congregate are called the "new flats near Prince Fluff's castle." It is yet to be seen how the below term will be translated for UK English.

"I daresay, this grass is quite mad," Kirby thought.
"It feels like... knickers."
