Creator of the best-selling Dreamcast game says Seaman may be heading to Nintendo’s new portable.

Seaman was released back in the 1990s for the Sega Dreamcast and eventually became its best-selling title, beating out other popular titles such as Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

Yoot Saito, mastermind behind the talking fish sensation, has been hinting at the possibility of the game hitting the Nintendo 3DS recently.

A follower of Saito Tweeted him asking whether or not the original Seaman could be heading to Nintendo’s new portable. Saito responded by saying that he couldn’t get into specifics, but to keep hoping for the game.

Nothing has been confirmed, but with more and more Japanese developers getting their hands on Nintendo 3DS development kits, anything is possible.

And many other living things.

On a more serious note, a friend of mine had a Dreamcast and a copy of Seaman, but either we couldn't figure out what we were supposed to do or the game was way too slow paced.  Probably both.

I could have sworn the game was called "Sea-Do" or something like that in the US...

ThePermJune 24, 2010

there was a sea-do game that was competing with wave race 64

also hey you pikachu!

The pacing was a bit slow in Seaman, but if they added extra content I would be down for this.

That's funny, I made a comment in another thread just a few days ago that Seaman would be a great fit for the 3DS.

If this means Leonard Nimoy gets work again, I approve.
