The third chapter of the Monkey Island saga finally arrives on WiiWare.

TellTales Games has announced that the third chapter of the Tales of Monkey Island saga, Lair of the Leviathan, will finally hit the WiiWare service on October 26, 2009, next Monday. As with the previous iterations of Tales of Monkey Island, it will be priced at 1000 Wii points. In this chapter, Guybrush faces off against the Leviathan as he quests for La Esponja Grande (The Big Sponge).

TellTale Games promises that the European version will come soon.

Same here, but I'll consider it someday.  I always enjoyed the Strong Bad games they made...

Monkey Island is far better than Strong Bad in my opinion.

I'm looking forward to this one. I hope this series does well enough to get a second season.

This episode seemed so much shorter and smaller than the first two.  Very little exploration, lots of dialogue tree puzzles.  Hopefully next episode has a little more for my 1000 points

You think so?  Episode 3 is probably my favorite of the series thus far, as it really returns to that "Adventure game" format of solving increasingly absurd puzzles.  And by keeping the game in a confined space, we don't have the problem of Episodes 1 and 2 where you're constantly "traveling" on an overworld map or hunting around in labyrinthian jungles.  Plus, there's Murray and Morgan!  :)

I'm looking forward to playing Episode 4 tomorrow, as that has looked the most interesting of the episodes since the series was announced.
