The Gameloft title has been rated E10+ by the ESRB.

A listing by the ESRB confirms that a remake of the classic educational title Oregon Trail is coming to DSiWare courtesy of Gameloft. The title has been rated E10+, and the ESRB describes it as a strategy title that has players assuming the role of a wagon leader who must protect their family and avoid diseases such as Dysentery.

No release date has been given for Oregon Trail.

While it most likely is coming to DSiWare, the ESRB listing does not actually say that. It is possible it could be a retail DSi-exclusive game (which has been rumored for awhile). Anyways, I was excited when I saw this in my ESRB e-mail a few days ago because I loved The Oregon Trail when I was in elementary school.

DSi to be found as part of the curriculum in US schools pretty soon?

I will buy a DSi when they put out Number Munchers.

KDR_11kOctober 01, 2009

It was on the DSiWare (or WiiWare?) list with all the release dates that Nintendo put out some time ago (see the "where are the third party games" thread).

That was a listing for just the WiiWare version

i couldn't agree any more.

More stuff like this and I'll change my stance on DSi and consider picking one up. Right now it's still not worth upgrading, but with tons of great DSi only games that can change quickly.

I'd buy this if I had the blocks.

Damn, I'd hoped I'd never have to say that again.

DSi needs a storage solution? I thought you could play from SD card like on Wii.

I was a big fan of the original game, which like many others I played a good deal in Elementary School.  I never got very far, though...my people always died of dysentery within the first few months, and every time I tried to improve on that I'd pass their grave stones and then soon after...die of dysentery.  :-[  I swear, that has to be the most pessimistic game I've ever played.  Hopefully this new version improves a great deal on the original.

No, you can't do that. It's pretty inexcusable considering the DSi launched in America after the Wii storage solution.

So are you saying that you can do that?
or the the DSi was released before the Wii solution?

If I am not mistaken, the DSi was released around the time the storage solution was released (which was at the GDC).

Expectation… you guy exactly now do calculate out of that DSi it does not play game from the cards SD? Dang, then there was in the form of the fact that Of dSi was released. Exactly as previous microprogramming software Of Wii, you cannot load immediately to the card SD, the game from the card SD or " move" archive to the card SD - you must copy and destroy each of time.

Regarding the Oregon trace - if it the original version Apple LLe is not, then DESIRES you NOT. This version swung. I remember, it at school, to play you would call your party members bad something, then tries, to kill everyone away of therefore the following player it was " financial announcement; find; Here ShitFucker" lies;

Nintendo not having a SD solution to DSi storage problem

It was about a week later, but there's been plenty of time since then to do a system update, which hasn't happened yet.
