Activision recently announced the release of Quantum of Solace for Wii and DS. The game officially hit stores November 4 and follows the plot of the upcoming James Bond film of the same name and its precursor, Casino Royale. The Wii version, developed by Beenox Studios, will feature a single-player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode. Reviews so far aren't looking so hot.

That game is as shitty as that press release wall

NinGurl69 *hugglesNovember 06, 2008

What's more hilarious is the back of the Wii box also uses those same shitty screenshots we saw and were passionately upgraded by Infernal Monkey.

"seriosly guys, those screens were based on an early build and doesn't reflect the final product, we didn't mean to release those screens in the first place either!" sez Activision goon.

I mean it makes PERFECT sense to give the Wii the most horrendously lazy port of 007 when a big chunk of its fan base made a little game called Goldeneye a huge success. I'm going to go with Lindy on this one, it isn't going to sell, gee I wonder why that would be?!?!?

KDR_11kNovember 06, 2008

I noticed the game got a lot of attention and was always wondering why. Never read any of the previews but still, why does a movie tie-in get so much attention? Especially when it turns out like any other movie tie-in?

Are you sure the Golden Eye fans didn't migrate to the XBox/360 for Halo?

GoldenPhoenixNovember 06, 2008

KDR I don't think Goldeneye fans went through that much of a de-evolution.

The REAL Goldeneye fans upgraded to Perfect Dark and have wished a FPS came along that was as good as either of those. If they did migrate over to Xbox they lost faith with Perfect Dark 0 and those on PS are still waiting.. (as are the Wii crowd)

Truth... and the real fans moved onto TimeSplitters after Perfect Dark.

If VV was doing the DS version why couldn't Activision just give them the Wii version as well. Things like this an the whole "exploit our franchises for 10 years" and blocking Brutal Legend just makes want to avoid buying Activision games.

NinGurl69 *hugglesNovember 07, 2008

Then hurry up and do what you want =D

NinGurl69 *hugglesNovember 10, 2008

What happened to the excitement around this game?

Who bought it, raise your hands.

King of TwitchNovember 10, 2008

Is it the hair-apparent of Goldeneye?

NinGurl69 *hugglesNovember 10, 2008

Noticing Pierce Brosnon's subtle hair style changes throughout his 4 Bond movies provides seconds of entertainment.
