Also: save replays and send them to online friends.
A third character from the Kirby series has been confirmed as playable in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as King Dedede has now been revealed. He joins Meta Knight and Kirby himself in the expanding roster. Dedede was originally Kirby's arch-nemesis, although he has become more of a neutral character in some recent games. Smash Bros. Dojo indicates that Dedede is a heavy character (like Bowser or Donkey Kong), and his huge wooden hammer has some mechanical properties, although those have yet to be shown.
Hidden in a previous update this week is an unceremonious announcement that Brawl will include a replay feature. You can save up to three minutes of footage from a battle (or Target Smash) and send it over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to people on your friends list. Currently, it is not clear whether three minutes is the limit per replay file or the total amount allowed in the game. Video replays have been common in PC games in recent years and are now creeping into console games, including Halo 3. In addition to bragging rights, replays are sometimes used as study materials by serious tournament players.
