Nintendo handheld support likely, console support unconfirmed.

Although Take Two has been previously reticent to publish games for Nintendo systems, the following press release seems to indicate that at the very least Nintendo handhelds will be getting Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Console support shouldn't be ruled out quite yet, especially since Fantastic Four was featured on GameCube when it was published by Activision, but nothing is confirmed as of this time.

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. to Publish Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Video Game Based on Marvel’s Comic Book Series and Upcoming Movie

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--2K, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced it will publish Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, a new third person action video game featuring Marvel Comics’ legendary super-powered foursome. The game will be based on both the comic book series, credited as the longest running comic book series in history, as well as Twentieth Century Fox/Marvel Entertainment’s highly anticipated movie sequel.

The game is being developed by 2K’s Visual Concepts studio and Seven Studios for next generation consoles, current generation consoles and handheld systems. Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer is scheduled for a June 2007 simultaneous release with the upcoming movie.
