Check out the first footage of Fox as well as Solid Snake's stage.

GameTrailers.com has posted Nintendo's new trailer (also available below) for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The trailer, which was shown at the Nintendo World show in Japan, features new gameplay footage of the upcoming brawler. Included in this reel is the first glimpse of Solid Snake's level, as well as footage of the first character to be revealed since the game's E3 debut. Fox McCloud is now an official member of Smash Bros. Brawl's cast of characters.

In addition to these juicy tidbits, fans will also be interested to know that much of the footage shown is of mid-air combos, implying that the next game in the series will rely heavily on such maneuvers.

Sweet! From the looks of it the mid-air combos will flow smoothly along with the rest of the game play. I just hope it isn't too easy to knock some one out while they are jumping or falling back from above; if they do hopefully there will be counters and guards.

That last level where it's focusing on Fox is stunning.

The new Fox model looks horrible.

The new Fox model is the best Fox Smash Brothers model ever!

''Fox McCloud is now an official member of Smash Bros. Brawl's cast of characters.''

Hes always been a part of Smash Bros..... @.@ It would be a completely safe assumption to say that he will be in the new Smash Bros. To not include Fox in smash bros is like not including Ken, or Chun-li in Street Fighter...

Although, a good question is why they decided to change his overall character as you can see in the trailer, hes kinda jumpy compared to his Melee counterpart. Is he supposed to be the Fox from StarFox:Command? And will it be possible to play the original Melee version?

Yeah it happened, and surprisingly the four horsemen did not show up.

And considering they changed characters around from SSB to Melee, it really isn't surprising to see them being changed around again (Two Foxes? Eh, I'm sick of having two Marios)...

Same, and I was glad that there is only going to be one Samus after all, according to the Smash Bros site. I wouldn't mind a alternate costume option so that one can be able to play as the old look to some of the more changed characters, like Link or Fox, but it's hardly something that really matters at all in the grand scheme of things.

wow, snake using a rocket launcher? AWSOME!

It looks like now every character has the ability to move while ducking. Wonder how far that'll go?
