Toys 'R Us Wii Deal Down Under

Preorder your Wii now and get a free game!

Do you live in Australia? Then you can preorder your Wii from a Toys 'R Us store with a AUS$50 deposit and get a free (undisclosed) game when you pick it up in November! The website does not provide an anticipated price for the system.

This seems to be a limited time promotional offer from Toys 'R Us, and not a standard preorder deal for early adopters, though we may see similar offers appear around the world as November approaches.

I lke how they say "collect one free game for your console at launch"

Wonder if they're just gonna throw in a free VC game

no the toys r us deals have always been legit and good

For once I envy you Aussies.
Maybe we'll see a similar bargain here.

So, that's around US $140 for the DS itself? Still not too great of a deal.

Speaking of Pre-Orders for the Wii. I was wondering if anyone knew of any stores that are already taking pre-orders for the Console here in the States.

I talked to a Gamestop employee the other day about when they would start allowing pre-orders for the PS3 and the Wii, and he told me that because of the whole X-Box 360 incident that they probably wouldn't be taking pre-orders until October.

I haven't heard about Toys R Us or other game stores in the states. Does anyone know of any stores that are already taking pre-orders, or some stores that PLAN to take pre-orders and WHEN.

Thanks!

The U.S. launch price for the original DS was $150...so they got the system for a bit less and got two free games with it. That's an amazing deal.
