The former Square vice-president will be creating a game for the new Nintendo platform.

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the former vice president for Square has announced that his newly established Mistwalker studio will be working on a game for the Nintendo DS. Mistwalker's website appeared around March last year, although not much information about their upcoming project has been revealed. In the interview, Sakaguchi talks about the strategy RPG:

"I'm a real fan of strategy role-playing games, but I've never created one myself. So I'm planning to design one on my own, writing its scenario as well," Sakaguchi said. "I think that the elements in strategy RPGs, such as moving around the pieces or instructing [pieces to move to] areas, go perfectly with the touch-sensitive panel. I'm hoping to make it into a game that can be deeply enjoyed with just the stylus."

There is really bad bashing of this game by final fantasy fanboys all over the net and nearly no information has been said *rolls eyes*
I personally cant wait for this game
Just baised on the fact, when a small team is made from a big company, they normally use idea's which arnt very mainstream and make awsome polished games

Bashing? What are those freaks saying?

NephilimFebruary 07, 2005

Mainly bashing Hironobu Sakaguchi, magicbox and a few others have got alot of ppl against him and this game
Iv never read one of those books about video games and about creators, so I know nothing of him but its pretty harsh talking down on someone like there nothing, when they oviously proved themselves to get to vice president.

Wasn't he the guy who said "Story is more important than gameplay"?

Bill AurionFebruary 07, 2005

Well if that were the case FF fans wouldn't be bashing him... face-icon-small-smile.gif

GamefreakFebruary 07, 2005

Well most FF fans think FF7 had the best story and gameplay too... so it's not like they know what they are talking about face-icon-small-tongue.gif
