Melbourne, Australia, 21st January 2005

With the excitement surrounding the launch date and price of Nintendo

DS, Nintendo Australia confirm some of the amazing and innovative software

titles that will be available within the initial launch period. The

February 24th release date of Nintendo DS including embedded PictoChat and

a Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo will also see the day one launch

of Super Mario 64 DS and WarioWare: Touched! for SRP$69.95.

During the first couple of months Nintendo titles such as Project Rub by SEGA,

Polarium and Pokemon Dash will launch nation-wide. The support from third

party publishers witnessed with the overseas launch of Nintendo DS will be

mirrored here with Spider-Man 2 from Activision, Asphalt Urban GT and

Sprung from UbiSoft, Ping Pals from THQ and Zoo Keeper from QV Software

all confirmed to be available for Australian consumers on launch. Upcoming

titles for Nintendo DS include The URBZ: Sims in the City, Tiger Woods

PGA TOUR® and Need for Speed Underground 2 from Electronic Arts, Rayman®

DS from UbiSoft, Retro Atari Classics from Atari and Robots from Vivendi

Universal Games.

I'm surprised Polarium is coming here so quickly.

That isn`t on the news section of nintendo.com.au and there`s something screwy with the DS mini site... such is life.

Why do we aussies have to pay a high price for DS games? Mario 64 DS is $29.99 USD and WarioWare: Touched! $34.99 USD which is $39.50 and $46.00 AUS respectively and they want $69.95 AUS, and both games sale at 4,079 yen in Japan which is $52.00. shipping shouldn't cost that much.

You should just buy them from the US then, because the DS is not region specific.

... No Mr. Driller? Again? ;__; Seems the inital launch day line-up is a lot smaller than I would of expected.
