Jonny and his new DS are becoming friends already!
Look what I found!
BEST FRIENDS 4-EVER!
Nope, that doesn't work.
Touching is good.

wait... do you even have games for it?
You look evil, Jonny... ;______;
Haha, no. Just First Hunt and PictoChat, and no one to play those with even. I should have some real games in a few more days.
This thread = Win.
Well if you're stuck you can play your GBA games on it. Okay that's not quite so cool for those who have an SP but for an old-GBA-only person like me it would be a blast. "I can see stuff now! YAY!"
Jonny's facial expression in the first pic is pretty much my expression 80% of the time. Is that the taco phone bit in pic 3?
So you pretty much angst at life 80% of the time?
"So you pretty much angst at life 80% of the time?"
Well I am at work probably 80% of my awake life so yeah.
I can't wait to lick my DS. . .
I didn't really lick it, guys.
Ian, it will please you to know that GBA games look GREAT on the DS. The different type of screen light makes a big difference. Also, I am not an angster, though I am fairly serious...most of the time. But I was furrowing my brow on purpose for that picture. I just did a lot of different faces to see what would be funny.
QuoteYou can hook up with the schmucks at IGN. Apparently they're having the same problem.

Oh, that's beside the point. I will be.
But I probably won't get one till springtime

Cool. I didn't get a chance to try that out at the Canada demo thing. Of course I'm not going to pay $200 CAN just to be able to see my GBA games when I play on the go but I know I'll make use of it when I eventually do get a DS. How do the GBA games play? Are the smaller face buttons a problem?
The intro video of MP hunters was amazing, I want one so much T_T Ill probably get it to my birthday, along with RE4.
Aren't the stores supposed to get their stock of DS systems today or soon?
I hope Feel the Magic: XY/XX has a mini game where I can use my tongue on the touch screen and lick the girl. =3
OMG, Jonny looks like Tony Hawk! Anyone agree? eh? EH?
And I pre-orderd my DS lastnight ^_^ The EB guy said it's not backwards compatible, lmao. He was a nub.
I could kick Tony's ass. He's scrawny.
VERY SEXY! (The DS that is, with all due respect ^_^)
I can't wait...ahh!

Ok, what's with PGC becoming the Grammar forums all of a sudden? =P (verbing nouns, more like a JOKE)
Verbing weirds the language.
"I could kick Tony's ass. He's scrawny."
Yeah but he's likely got bodyguards. And even if he didn't his fame would ensure your doom. "Hey that guy's beating up Tony Hawk! Get him!" Then like 60 guys would kick your ass.
I read Gamespot's impressions and they say that there's an epilepsy warning message that comes up every time you load the DS up AND it requires you to touch the screen to continue. It's bad enough I have to deal with this crap on Nintendo's first party titles. I don't like the idea of this huge annoyance (that was implented for one really stupid woman who can't read a manual or game box) being present with every new Nintendo console from here on in.
So what's the deal Jonny? Is this true? Is there any way to turn the message off? Does it continue on after a few seconds if you don't touch the screen?
Well, just in case some idiot gets seizsures, Nintendo can't be held accountable. The only way I think a lawyer could get a case is if his client can't read. Which in that case, the plaintaiff can't function in society, let alone play video games.
I have to ask though: Who sent it to you? The big N?
Like everything good, it came from Santa.
When can we expect Metroid Prime Hunters impressions?
So, have you walked past a wireless router with this thing? any wifi experiments with it yet?
I'm still curious about the DS's long-range wireless capabilities..
Yeah, the warning screen at boot-up really annoyed me with Paper Mario: TYD. I'm not looking forward to a system with it built into the hardware, but I'll manage...
The pre-game warning is a welcome compromise from what that particular woman wanted in her lawsuit. She wanted a warning that would flash up DURING the game. Sorta like being set on fire and then a sign pops up saying "Warning. Fire causes severe burns."
Wait wouldn't "flashing up" cause seizures? "Warning, if you experience seizures, this message may cause one. Oh. Sorry"
Pretty much yeah. As tolerant as I am about uhhh... intellectual shortcomings, those are some pretty stupid people. On the bright side, at least Nintendo should be pretty much sue-proof, unless somebody finds a way to not read the instruction manual for the platform, not read the first pages of the instruction manual for any given game, not read the back of the box of any given game, not read the health and safety pamphlets distributed with any given game, and somebody somehow misses the seizure warnings that pop up before the game starts.
You know, perhaps that seizure warning isn't visible enough? Perhaps it should be made flashing black and white?
What i want to know is, are ds games gonna have the warning as well? thus doubling our warning pleasure?

You think they could program something that could allow you to turn off the screen if you've read it, if you made a conscious effort to get rid of it. But I suppose if your retarded friend played and couldn't see the message and got the DS lodged in his brain that'd be grounds to sue.
Whats the second screen do on GBA games? Just shut off completely I hope?
That would be corrrect...(You also get to pick which screen you wish to play on, if you didn't know already)

Metroid Prime Hunters Impressions
Don't worry, after a couple more impressions go up, I'm going to make a news story that links to all of them. I know it's easy to miss something as it scrolls down the main page.
