Formerly and tentatively called the Mobile Monitor 5.4 Battery Pak, the Mobile Power GC is a rechargeable battery that fits onto the bottom of the GameCube...we're not sure if it'll cover the entire bottom or simply fit into one of the add-on slots. However, InterAct report that the device will "fit snugly" underneath your Cube. The battery is designed to power both the GameCube and InterAct's accompanying 5.4" LCD monitor for a whopping two and a half hours...(Though InterAct is officially saying "over 90 minutes,") -that's a lot of Smash Bros. in the car!

This product will be available in mid-December 2001 and will retail for $49.99 USD. It will also be offered by InterAct as part of a "Mobile Kit," which will include the Mobile Monitor 5.4, Mobile Power GC, a carrying case and headphones, all for an MSRP of $149.99. Time to make your Cube portable!
