Giant green angry man.
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is “all about destruction.” That’s what the guy demonstrating the game said. And he’s right. The Hulk just rampages through a GTA III-style world and just destroys things. Anything that isn’t a building, really. Also added to the Hulk is the ability to “weaponize” things. For example, say Mr. Hulk picks up a car and runs around with it. He can then smash the car and make steel fists. This weaponization also serves to increase the fighting move capacity to over 150 moves. It was pretty fun punching things with car-hands.
The game controls better than I expected. You run around the city and smash things to bits to build up smash points, with which you can buy new moves. When I played, I just jumped around and pulled off special moves all day. It is sort of fun, but it gets pretty old after a while. Thankfully, there are missions dispersed throughout the city, and you can partake in one of them when you want something more directed.
I am somewhat impressed with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The game shows promise for its release, later this year.
