The Beatles: Rock Band

It might be more of the same, but it's the freaking Beatles.

Let’s get this straight. The Beatles: Rock Band is like every other Rock Band game you have played, but with some pretty cool new gameplay parts.

The coolest part is definitely the three-part harmony, which works wonderfully if you’re rocking the mic or playing guitar and singing. Most of The Beatles' songs are so iconic that even I, a mild fan of the group, could sing along while playing an instrument. The harmony can get a little confusing as there are three markers for where your pitch is, but they come in slightly different shades so you can kind of tell which one you are.

Other than that, a lot of the changes are minor, like the changed graphical look. The game has a definite trippy Beatles feel to it and it suits the game well. The new instruments look gorgeous. They might not offer anything new as far as gameplay goes, but they’re easily some of the most aesthetically pleasing plastic instruments to come around.

Seriously, nothing beats singing "I Am The Walrus" with two other people while three other people back you up instrumentally.

That's a pretty legit reason to not care about it. The Beatles haven't been relevant for decades, and the only reason they were relevant in the first place was because they came out during the birth of mass media, and quickly chameleoned themselves into any position that seemed popular at the time.
