Veil Interactive @ CES

We told you about this GBA SD technology last week.  So what’s the deal?  Billy finishes off his CES coverage with how the GBA can interact with your TV.

Tucked in the corner of the Panasonic SD booth was Veil Interactive demonstrating their new product.  Basically, the VEIL-enabled Secure Digital (Panasonic SD card) interface allows a consumer to use their GBA to interact with televised broadcasts of game shows, cartoons, or special events.  People can play along, get character information, or even unlock new things in GBA games, as long as the Television program or game has this enabled in their programming.

There was no price point, or release date.  Currently no one has licensed this to be used with their programming, but it’s an interesting development.  We’ll keep you posted.
