Boy, that escalated quickly.
With two major retail games hitting in 2016 Game of the Year Metroid Prime Federation Force and the long-awaited Style Savvy: Fashion Forward, this week was going to be busy enough. But the quantity is there to back it up as there are no less than 13 eShop titles this week for North America.
Among the highlights of the eShop are Power Disc Slam, recently released in Europe and promoted as a spiritual successor to Neo-Geo cult hit (though I do risk redundancy) Windjammers. As well, there's Poncho, a long awaited platformer published by Rising Star Games and a crossbuy POWGI game. Perhaps the oddest yet most obvious release of the group is Adventure Party: Cats and Caverns, which brings back asynchronous multiplayer with one person as a dungeon master. Even the Virtual Console gets in on it with Pichu's Ukelele Adventures, aka Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
Europe is getting some interesting new arrivals with Poncho and Word Logic, plus getting Jump Trials Supreme about... two and a half years after North America? But the oddities are down at the bottom, where Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva (now on STEAM for some reason, and that's not a typo) is joined by the first Inazuma Eleven anime movie and a sale on the StreetPass Mii Plaza games among other oddities.
