Some news that has come out in the last few days includes confirmation of a new localization in XSEED's E3 release and a cool indie announcement for Wii U owners.

XSEED Returns To The Farm, RPG Franchise

XSEED's E3 lineup was confirmed on Friday and in addition to all of the Kiseki games for the Vita will include an intriguing crossover.

Return to Popolocrois: A Story Of Seasons Fairytale is the localized version of Popolocrois Farm Story, which releases next week in Japan. The game stars Prince Pietro - a veteran of the Popolocrois RPG series from the PlayStation - who is transported to a distant land and must find a way to return home while farming on the side.

Fans of "life" and "hometown" will also be pleased to know that Senran Kagura 2 was confirmed to be at E3 during the same announcement.

Multi-Console Drifting: Xeodrifter Headed To Wii U

Renegade Kid is bringing the Metroid-like Xeodrifter to Wii U.

Jools Watsham confirmed the port in an appearance on the Nintendo Enthusiast podcast "Class v Crass" on Sunday evening. No release date was given, but Jools did mention during the show that he is considering offering crossbuy for the Wii U version, in line with the upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game.

Nintendo World Report will have more information about the game at E3 as we'll be speaking extensively with Jools during the week.

Quick Hits:

  • Get your stability on: A firmware update is now available for the Wii U. Version 5.4.0 promises the usual round of stability and unspecified "enhancements to the experience". European Wii U owners have had their experience enhanced by the removal of the TVii icon.
  • Speaking of Europe, it's a light week in the European downloads - Dr. Mario Miracle Cure is the headliner, with Lego Jurassic World also hitting on 3DS, and the Wii U getting Mega Man Battle Network 3.
