Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and Project X Zone, two new IPs released last week on October 11 for the Nintendo 3DS, have seen very strong first week sales in Japan. In it's first week (from October 8 to 14), Bravely Default sold 144,909 copies, ranking at number one on the Famitsu weekly sales list. This is the new record for first week sales of 3DS new-IP titles.
Project X Zone also sold fairly well, ranking at number three on the list with 93,756 copies. This is next to Bravely Default in terms of first week sales of 3DS new-IP titles (if we count it so) according to Game Data Museum.
It is yet to be seen whether these titles will be localized for West audiences.
