3DO GETS JACKED(tm) FOR NEXT GENERATION CONSOLES

Combat-Based Motorcycle Racing Title Coming In 2003

REDWOOD CITY, CA (October 29, 2002) - The 3DO Company (Nasdaq: THDO) today announced that JACKED(tm), a combat-based motorcycle racing game for the PlayStation(r)2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox(tm) video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCube(tm) system, is in development. Bones will be broken as players jack the roughest bikers around, attacking competitors with any bludgeoning devices they can get their hands on.

"With bone shattering melee combat and breakneck motorcycle racing, JACKED will be the roughest, toughest game on the market next summer," said Trip Hawkins, chief executive officer, The 3DO Company. "We have also added great details like character evolution. As the player wins more races, the character looks and gets tougher, with bigger muscles, tattoos and more."

About JACKED
JACKED mixes motorcycle racing and hand-to-hand combat in a rough competition that determines who is the baddest of the bunch. To edge ahead in the intense races, players can jack opponents by kicking, punching, or even bludgeoning them with various weapons like bottles, chains, and golf clubs. As part of the fun, players can also knock them into environmental hazards, including saw blades, fire pits, car crushers and more.

In JACKED, computer opponents who take a beating will hold grudges, so players will need to watch out for them in the next race. The game uses next generation graphics, so every race is depicted in all its brutal reality. JACKED is scheduled for release in 2003.
