Crafts & Meister Co., Ltd. announced their new Wii title, Earth Seeker, in the latest issue of Famitsu.

The game begins on Earth, following an apocalyptic calamity.  Humanity escapes Earth by packing themselves and their most cherished relics onto a giant spaceship.  The ship crashes on an alien world, and the ship's system begins a process to re-engineer the planet's environment to match that of Earth.  However, the system fails and ends up creating strange animals and plants.

The planet's native species, The Guardians, are not pleased with the changes.  They have also made use of the ship's technology to rapidly evolve.  It seems that The Guardians will be used in battle, and fight in exchange for alcohol.

Crafts & Meister, a development studio founded by former Capcom designers Noritaka Funamizu (Street Fighter series) Katsuhiro Sudo (Auto Modellista, and additional Capcom titles), had previously worked on Dragon Ball Z combat games in the arcade and on the PS2.

Earth Seeker is scheduled for a winter release in Japan.  No plans for an international release have been announced.
