Get ready for the indie darling this March.

 Today at the Q1 Media Summit, Nintendo unveiled the release date for Cave Story, the adventure-platformer developed by Nicalis, to be March 22 2010.

The game features retro-style graphics, and RPG-style game mechanics, but takes place in a side-scrolling overworld similar to the Metroid games.   The game has been available on PC since 2004, but the WiiWare version will feature new exclusive content such as a new localization and enhanced sound and graphics.   The original music and graphics will be available as well, as an option feature.

Sheesh, it's taken awhile, but at least we have a date to look forward to. Newscast Game Club game? I think so!
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

So you'll be doing two metroid clones in a row?  Might want to mix it up a bit.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

We won't be.

Keep in mind that March 22 is still a month away. We're not going to be talking about Blaster Master for THAT long.

Dammit Andy! Way to spoil it.

Anyway, Mega Man 10 will most definitely be our next game. Keeping with our bi-weekly schedule, here's a tease of Game Club for the next few episodes.

Weekend of 2/26 - Blaster Master Conclusion
Weekend of 3/12 - Mega Man 10
Weekend of 3/26 - Cave Story Intro
Weekend of 4/9 - Cave Story Conclusion

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.
