Swing your stylus in new lands with new Pokemon to tame and capture.

The second Pokemon Ranger game in the series takes you to a new area called the Almia Region. The game plays in much the same way as the first, differing from the usual Pokemon trainer format of the main series. Rather than catching Pokemon and keeping them, as a Ranger you tame wild Pokemon and control them temporarily with the Capture Styler.

It's possible to choose between a boy or girl Ranger at the start of the game. By drawing circles around wild Pokemon on the touch screen, they can be captured.  Pokemon are captured either to join your team temporarily as helpers or run off back into the wild if the purpose of the capture was to calm them down.  Temporary helpers follow behind you on screen. Captured Pokemon lend their abilities as Poke Assists or Field Moves. Poke Assists help to capture other Pokemon by working against their weaknesses and boosting the power of the Capture Styler. Field Moves can be used to clear obstacles and open new paths, or access Pokemon that cannot be reached.

As a Ranger, you're sent on missions by the Ranger Union. The first few will be training missions and as you complete more tasks you will advance up the ranks, gaining new powers until you eventually become a Top Ranger. Completing quests will earn power-ups, adding new functions to your Capture Styler and increasing your rank so you can control more Pokemon simultaneously.

The game includes hundreds of Pokemon, including those from the Diamond and Pearl games. It is due for launch on November 10, 2008.  Check out the trailer below.
