An established multinational audio-electronics company and a group of talented games-playing students have joined forces to produce coordinated speakers for games consoles.

Central Pacific International Technology, already well known for its Nicole speakers, has expanded its product range to include new console specific designs bearing the brand name Herao.

With the cooperation of Design Graduates from Nottingham Trent University and UCE, Birmingham, CPIT has come up with speakers that not only sound good, but are unique in their appearance to complement the well known look of the top selling PS2, and Gamecube.

"We have released the units to the market under the Herao marque," says managing director, Sam Tang, "The PX 2.1 500W and the GC 2.1 400W, each with unique sub-woofer and satellite designs are set to join the well known Nicole multimedia products in numerous OEM guises."

Sam adds, "The systems have innovative controls of bass, treble ,volume and unique satellite speaker positioning allow for a desirable gaming experience with un-distorted sound."

"Early indications are that the trade is willing to embrace our new releases in with the same warmth that we have experienced in earlier launches, our top of the range products include the PX 5.1 1000W full surround system complete with Dolby sound decoder. This system really immerses you in the gaming experience!" says Sam Tang.

As a further attraction, these console matching speakers may be used with high definition video monitors as an alternative to the commonly used television for gaming using Herao's newest Video-VGA accessory.

The eagerly expected sound systems have been unveiled for the first time to the trade on stand 1542 at ECTS, Earls Court. Production quantities are expected to be available during September.
