Looks pretty similar to the N64 one. That's not bad or anything I'm just a little surprised since lately it's been a rarity for Nintendo to release sequels that look exactly how we expect them to.

It looks much better than it did on the 64...Take a look at the difference between the shot of M&L's house in PM2 VS. PM...You'll notice the difference...

Oh, well it is a direct sequel...Just as Wind Waker 2 is going to look basically the same as Wind Waker and as Majora's Mask was similar to OoT...So it makes sense to keep the same style...

Those screenshots look very nice, they've got me excited. Hopefully Luigi plays more of a role in Paper Mario 2 than he did in Paper Mario, he's in a few of the screens, but they're all in his house... i wonder if he leaves the house in this one, i hope he does. It appears Toadsworth is in the game, he's becoming more and more "popular", i like him.

I absolutely love the graphical style, and i'm glad they're sticking with the 2D paper look. The paper plane thing sounds like a really cool idea, how could someone not say "cool!" when you tell them that Mario can fold into a paper plane? This game looks really fun, i can't wait to play it. I hope to see some of that trademark humor that's present in all the Mario RPG games too.

I hope that somehow we get the original Paper Mario as a bonus disk or something, because i've played it (by renting it a million times), but because only a limited number of copies were released here i could never buy myself a copy, and i would love to own the game. I doubt it... but it's possible!

I went to Gamestop and they didn't have paper mario. I asked them if they were getting it and they said no. Is there anywhere that they are selling them? I don't know where else to go. Gamestop is the only place that really sells games around here.

Good luck. I had to buy Paper Mario USED only FIVE or SIX months after it's original release, because I couldn't find it new ANYWHERE.

Well They stole her voice in Superstar Saga, so I guess her nose is fair game

Mario has this huge snozz, while Peach has no nose whatsoever, maybe their kids will end up in between with a normal nose

This is definatly one of the happiest game announcements I've heard since Tales of Phantasia 2 (now known as Symphonia) was announced for cube.

Tales of Destiny 2(aka Tales of Eternia in Japan) was for the PS...The Tales game that is coming to the PS2/PS3 is Tales of Truthia, while the GC/N5 will be getting Tales of Legendia...

(And I don't recall Peach having a nose in the first Paper Mario, either...It's just the she was designed for the game)

I can't wait! I've always thought of all the games in the series as being sort of equal, each with it's own strengths. But looking at the Paper Mario 2 screenshots, I'm starting to realize that Paper Mario is my favourite. It's just so...Marioesque. It's got a level of Marioness that I haven't seen in a game since Yoshi's Island was released on the Super Nintendo. The graphics, the gameplay, the music, the storyline, it's all so Marioy!

All three games are amazing, though, and I'm sure this one will be no exception. I hope that Intelligent Systems improves the writing and beefs up the battle system. A few more hours of game time would be nice too. But even if it's a pure cookie cutter sequel to Paper Mario, I think I'll love it.
