I was going to say Christian Bale.

Did any of you read the article or just my poor summary? Are none of you interested in how it actually works?

just your poor summary, which I didn't know was poor until you said it was.
Now I have to go back and read the actual article..... Don't people quote & bold stuff anymore so we don't have to follow links?

I just skimmed it. will read it later in full, but I didn't see and bite size quote chunks that would explain it yet.

I want one of these: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8147104.stm

Not because I would ride it often, but because I wanna see the look on other drivers faces when I pedal past them in the bike lane, when they are doing the speed limit on the street.

I'm aware, but without financial back-up such creation isn't going anywhere.

That's awesome. It's about time somebody improved upon the bicycle.

True, but this is exactly what city-goers have been asking for. Everyone hates driving because of two reasons: one, gas costs money, and two, it's hard to find a parking spot. This solves both problem. Sure it's expensive now, but just wait till competition takes hold.

They have had similar things out there before. Where pedaling charged a battery that could you could then switch on, which would take you up a hill for instance. But i do not believe anything that powerful has been unveiled thus far. If i had a spare 40K, I would definitely buy it.

Does a breakthrough in technology count for this thread?

snooping through the power socket

Something you should be aware of -or- Techniques to be used in the next blockbuster spy/heist movie?

That's pretty awesome (and scary), but PS/2 keyboards are a thing of the past. Even my computer that I bought 4 years ago doesn't have any PS/2 ports on it.

I've seen that second link here somewhere (I might have even posted it here) & I was pretty sure I knew what it was as soon as I read your description.

I expect taht tech to be refined down to use some sort up heads up display glasses instead of a projector. Privacy issues and all.
maybe some glasses with an earphone like those Oakleys that Lil Jon was always sportin
