Wii - $250

Since it comes with Wii sports I'll just play that untill I can afford more games. For x-mas I'll probably buy myself a game or two.
Currently Playing: Twilight Princess(Wii), Castlevania: PoR(DS), Mario vs. Donkey Kong2(DS), Wii sports(Wii)
Anticipating: Mario Galaxy(Wii), Blue Dragon(360), Dragon Quest:Swords(Wii), Dragon Quest IX (DS)

Im still not clear on what comes out on day one. I know Zelda is like Dec 11th right?

wii = 250
remote (x3) = 120
nunchuk (x3) = 60

Rayman = 50

I want Excite Truck in there, and Wario.

I plan on spending around 600.

Pluss i'll be buying an extra wii for a friend of mine who gave me is Ultimate Spider-Man #1, in retun for a new Gamecube. So I willingly promised a new nintendo system for him and his kids every generation.

I'm probably gonna be getting a pre-order bundle, so it depends what's in the bundle... but what I am interested in is Zelda, Excite Truck, Red Steel, and Prime3 later on.

On the Iffy list: Sonic,  BWii2, Rayman
"wow."

Knowing what i know now... it has to be less than £199 now, especially given that the 360 basic box is that price.

I think a lot of people will be doing this, since the system is $50 more than people expected.

I'm thinking about waiting until SSBB launches sometime next year, likely after a $50 price drop when they release a Wii pack sans Sports.

SSBB is the only "must have" title for the system for me and with the Wii launching a mere week from the WoW expansion, it just doesn't make sense to drop close to $400 on a Wii + game and controllers.

yeah I may have to wait till some games like Rayman, WarioWare, and Super Monkey Ball drop in price

I'll try to convince my family to buy their own controllers as well, or I'll only buy more remotes which is enough to play WiiSports together.

Nothing. I had $300-320 or so set aside, and that's what the system will be here. I can't afford that price and another game or controller. And I'm certainly not paying that much money to sit here and play preschool tennis with myself.

Hopefully I can get it at Christmas because I do really want one. Nintendo just screwed the launch up for me, is all.

I'll definitely be reserving a Wii, just in case it's incredible, but if it isn't, there's always Wiibay just waiting to take that sucker off my hands.

A friend of mine just pointed out: there should have been a Wiisports bundle and a ZELDA BUNDLE.

Seriously, paying $50 for a bundled tech demo SUCKS...

I have the feeling many fans will drop plans for buying a Wii at launch, but the minute they start showing off brand new game footage, some surprising game announcements and they read impressions that greatly applaud the Wii they will change their minds and buy one at launch.

It seems that whenever they make an announcement regarding the Wii fans are dissapointed, then after a while they go back to being excited.

Yeah, but I'm quite serious when I say that I won't be buying nearly as many games as I had initially planned.

I had 6 or so planned, but given that it's so late in the year, I'll have other entertainment means already lined up so I won't need to spend that much on an entertainment budget.

Wii - $250
Zelda - $50
Extra controller (Wiimote + Nunchuck) - $60
Probably one or two other games before the end of the year - $100

Total - $460
With tax - $500 (roughly)

The real tragedy in all of this is that the majority of the awesome DS games coming out this fall will have to wait or possibly skipped altogether. Sorry Contact. Sorry Mario vs. DK 2. Sorry Elite Beat Agents. Sorry Casltev... who am I kidding, I'm still buying you. Sorry Lunar Knights. Yoshi's Island 2 and Castlevania may be it for the DS purchases this fall. Sad.

Oh cry me a river, Japan get a cheaper console going by direct currency translations? Welcome to PAL region.
Nintendo Australia don't even have to announce it. I'm announcing right now that Australians will be paying $75 US for their games.

LOL, good point. It would appear the price is partially just the Americans paying for their crappy dollar.

Are you guys seriously upset by $250?
It's called inflation. This is cheaper than your N64s.
