No Live Webcast on Nintendo.com?
« on: May 09, 2005, 07:19:12 AM »
Don't know if this belongs here but I was reading through IGN and they mentioned their exclusive E3 live webcast; naturally only for insiders, so I go Nintendo.com as it was streamed there last year to find out how exclusive it was and this is what I find
Quote

Our coverage begins on Tuesday, May 17, when we'll break early news about Nintendo's key products right after the press event concludes.
so it looks like there will be know live webcast for non insiders this year, which is one of best things about E3.

I'm fairly certain I watched the nintendo conference live on gamespot last year (I'm not a member). Still, it may be worth becoming an insider to check this out. Does anybody know if the insider site is reliable, or will it slow down like every other site this time of year??

Nintendo had their own live stream last year? I watched it at Gamespot since that was the only free live stream I knew of (and if the trend of free streams on their site continues, it should be free again this year).
Oops pow suprise!

I also watched on Nintendo.com last year. Hopefully between G4 and gamespot I'll be able to get some live coverage. Lord knows last years press conferance was the best.

School sucks. I'll miss the live coverage. Oh well, I'm sure lots of it is boring, right?
Thanks for listening.

Actually, no...Two Pietriots (Mario and Peeack) and myself watched it together last year and we had an absolute blast...But that's probably not something you want to hear, is it? ^_^

Well, depending on what's going on at school and what's planned to be shown, I might stay home one day. I've only missed two days this year and I have good grades.
Thanks for listening.

Ha ha, I'm stupid.  That's a relief!  Still, anybody know what time Nintendo is supposed to hold their conference?

I think Insiders won't get a live stream either... heard Nintendo's got some sort of thing against live streams this year.

IGN's insider sign up page says it will offer  "Live streaming of Nintendo press conference and webcasts of Sony & Xbox conferences!"

Oh yeah... it's the MS and Sony webcasts that won't be live.

I'm willing to wait 8 days, so I'll wait a couple hours more.

OK thanks for telling about gamespot, though it seems the show will only be free after it has taken place from what i read in the forums but I may be wrong (hopefully).

Thanks DontHate, ill be using this site then, I would probably advise anyone who wants to view the stream to get there early as sites during E3 (especially independant ones), are usually as fast as a fatigued constipated snail.

Edit: Rather than having two topics just post in GcCafe thread now seeing as its more relevant.
