Flame Red 3DS to Be Discontinued in Japan
« on: October 04, 2012, 11:55:57 AM »

Another one bites the dust in Japan.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/31985

The Flare Red Nintendo 3DS is going to be discontinued in Japan shortly. No specific reason or date was given. The Flare Red 3DS was released on July 14, 2011, the same day that Star Fox 64 3D in Japan.

This marks the second color variation to be discontinued in Japan (outside of limited editions), with the first being the Aqua Blue 3DS which was phased out in late May and early June of this year.

Say what? Red is not doing well in Japan then, or something? It's like there's another red to replace it.

Is there already a Red 3DS XL? Maybe Nintendo thought people would get confused seeing two 3DS models (regular & XL) with the same color.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

Too many complaints that the red one doesn't go 3x faster, methinks.
