Japan Gets Green SP
« on: July 20, 2004, 09:35:49 AM »
In celebration of the forthcoming Pokemon Emerald.

In classic Nintendo fashion, a special limited edition green Game Boy Advance SP will be released alongside the release of Pokèmon Emerald. This limited edition SP is a dark green color and features a silhouette of the Pokèmon Rayquaza on its cover.

This Green SP will be available for the price of 12,500 Yen ($115), the same as a regular GBA SP, but it will only be available through Nintendo's Japanese Pokèmon Centers (and their website). The system won't be available until September, but the website will be taking pre-orders starting August 16th. Below is a picture of the unit.

If he is in seraphim form, that would be awesome!

A friend of mine decided to make it his mission to collect each and every single different color and edition Gameboy, GBC, GBA and GBASP that exisited. Needless to say he gave up very early on. ^_^

But the green looks very kewl. And the silhouette of Rayquaza looks badass enough that people wouldn't hassle you for having a Pokemon themed SP.

I can't wait till Nintendo run out of colours and have to make a Pokemon Brown. Because then there'll be a sloppy brown edition GBA.

I'm hoping Nintendo ditches the cheesy jewel colours and makes Pokemon "black" and "white."
