3DS owners can get their hands on a new premium stylus.

A gripped stylus and 17 character stickers will be offered to North American pre-order customers of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, as stated by Square Enix in a press release.

The stylus itself is white with a black tip and features the game title on its side, as well as a circular extension at the top, customizable using stickers from an included sheet. The sticker sheet itself includes "the Final Fantasy franchise's most popular characters," says Square Enix, such as Squall, Chocobo, and Cloud.

Theatrhythm is set for a July 3 North American release on 3DS.

Oh my god that's so - ugh, I can't do it. This is is bad I can't even be sarcastic about it.

I might pick the game up, but this doesn't entice a preorder.

I suspect this is more something that appeals to Japanese audiences than western ones.    I for one would have much more preferred something like a free DLC song, which would have also cost Square Enix much less than mass producing and distributing these pens and stickers.  In fact, this "free DLC as preorder bonus" practice is pretty widespread now.  Why didn't they do that?

Oh yeah, I know I have 2 sealed copies of that game.   1 is for trading.  But people who collect Amiibos?  They really have a problem!
