Golden Sun: Dark Dawn's Absence Explained
« on: August 18, 2010, 03:29:17 PM »

Nintendo doesn't know when the new Golden Sun game is coming out on "the Nintendo DS family of systems."

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/23888

Nintendo's release date-filled press release yesterday was missing a rather important DS title: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. According to a Nintendo representative, The company has "not yet determined a specific launch date for Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for the Nintendo DS family of systems."

It is very likely that Golden Sun: Dark Dawn will not be coming out in the next three months, which were laid out without many gaps yesterday, but that doesn't rule out a December release. It is more likely that Dark Dawn has been pushed back to 2011, though, and due to the wordage of "the Nintendo DS family of systems," it could even have 3DS support.

3DS support for this game would be cool. Just imagine the particle effects from the magic in stereoscopic 3D.

The 3D support would make the 30 second long Djinn summons slightly more bearable.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I'll admit the 3D support is a little bit wishful thinking, but I could see Dark Dawn looking stunning in 3D.

I have been thinking for a while now that the reason we have not seen a lot about this game is because it could get a 3DS upgrade of sorts.  Regardless of which system it is on, I WANT IT.  The ending to Lost Age was just too........open for the imagination.

I guess that's true.....

I would rather get this sooner without 3d than later with.
Bless you, my child.

Is it me or is Nintendo trying to quietly do to the DS/DSi/DSiXL what it wanted to do with the GBA?

I think they keep giving the hardCORP gamers reasons to just stop buying new titles for the handheld market and just wait on the 3DS.

I know I'm ready for the new Golden Sun, but if this means I might play this in N3D, then let the breath holding begin!!
