Indy's coming to Wii in an all-new adventure with whips, guns, vehicles, a separate cooperative mode, and a means to unlock the PC adventure game Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

LucasArts is bringing everyone's favorite whip-cracking, snake-fearing hero to Wii in an all new adventure this spring. Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, developed by A2M, is a third-person action game that follows Indy as he travels across the world. From San Francisco's Chinatown to Istanbul, Indy will battle his nemesis Magnus Völler, and search for the legendary Staff of Moses. Along the way, 20 artifacts and unlockables will be available to find, one of which is the classic PC adventure game, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Players take control of the famous archaeologist using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to fight enemies and the environment. The Wii Remote is used to control Indy's signature whip and the controller's pointer is used for gunplay. The game features many different locales that include interactive Hot Set environments and gesture-based quick-time events. The Staff of Kings also features numerous controllable vehicles, like biplanes, elephants, and rafts.

In addition to the single-player adventure, there is also a cooperative mode that contains a completely new quest featuring Indy and a familiar character, never playable in an Indiana Jones game before. Two four player modes, Biplane Combat and Tank Battle, are also being included for extended play.

Fate of Atlantis was a great SCUMM game.  This is practically worth it just for that.

I thought the indy game, although a trailer appeared on youtube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e6eDSJ3cOs&feature=related was under possible hold ups and may not make it.

Does anyone know where the source is for this?

ahh here is a good one for people

Supposedly, the XBox 360 and PS3 versions of the Indy game are the ones in trouble.

How dare LucasArts try to hide the lack of details under tons of bloom.

Well, considering you can get fate of atlantis on ebay for like $10 and then play it using SCUMMvm on just about anything I am not sure it completely makes economic sense.  But it is tempting.
