TalkBack / RE: TimeSplitters 4 Bound for Wii?
« on: September 20, 2007, 04:40:05 AM »
TimeSplitters 2 has been my most played game in the last 4 months. With nothing decent coming out Wii wise here in Australia I've become addicted to it once again. CO-OP.

Hahaha, such good fun and kick ass that I can dig out that old game and still play 4 hour death matches laughing and carrying on trying to improve my stats.

FAV CHARACTER: Beetleman  MOST HATED: Duckman Drake.....

Awesome game, reminds me so much of the good old Golden Eye days with Oddjob litter proxys all over complex.  Most fun I've ever had playing a video game. Period.

Might actually be decent....... if it were a Wii game.

Watching videos of it makes me just hate it...... knowing how much better it's be with my Wii-Wand.

You're right, it would sell a hell of a lot better if it were a Wii game, and I think most 3rd parties already realize that they bet on the wrong horse. But everyone knows that its called a Wii-mote and not a Wii-wand you Harry Potter fan!!!!
Hahaha potter fan... actually I'm just kidding. I just wanted to poke some fun at the lurker/new poster.

Haha, yeah I am a bit of a lurker, been visiting since the start of the planetgamecube days and had a few forum accounts, but never have contributed much. So I thought I might start slowly posting.... lol, everyone seems nice enough here...

Wii-wand just sounds good... Do you think Nintendo ever considered actually calling it the Wiimote... instead of the Wii-REmote?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Do you regret getting RE 4 on Cube?
« on: July 15, 2007, 07:54:29 AM »

I certainly don't regret buying Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube; I played through it 5 times. T'was truely an awesome experience.

However, I was disappointed, and felt let down by Capcom, when I missed out on the PS2 extras, so news of the Wii Edition made me happy I'd get a chance to play Seperate Ways.

And the Wii controls are so well suited for RE4. I have played through the game twice and i'm well into a third...

I grabbed my Gamecube RE4 out the other day just to check out my saves; what weapsons I had, etc, etc and started playing a bit... and it felt HORRIBLE without the Wiimote aiming... It's been said before, but if RE5 doesn't make it too Wii, i'm not too sure I would enjoy it on the other two consoles after playing RE4:WE...

Wind Warker's was awesome, yet it generally cops criticism.... Sigh...  How I wish for another cell shaded Zelda adventure.

I personally have loved all the Zelda endings, Twilight Princess no exception...

General Gaming / RE: Why isn“t anybody discussing Banjo-Kazooie 3?
« on: December 28, 2006, 08:08:28 PM »

I remember when Rare was my favourite all time developer, back in the N64 days. Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, GOLDENEYE, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day; I loved them all.

Then with the release of Banjo Tooie (wosrt sequal name ever) I became bored with it and never passed the game, and was a bit disappointed... But jumped back on board with Star Fox Adventures, infact I really rated that game. Then with the news of Rare going to Microsoft I was CUT... But after trying all their Xbox releases I was really disappointed...

They are nothing compared to what they used to be, and I have a feeling Banjo Kazooie 3 will be rather ordinary. What possible innovations can they make to the game? Collect-a-thon here we come....

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Prediction: iTunes Wii Channel
« on: December 28, 2006, 03:14:10 AM »

Haha, I remember thinking that Nintendo's idea to release ONLY white Wii consoles... then releasing the black ones at a later date was similar to the iPod colour scheme.... Very 'Apple-ish' presentation.

Haha, I'm holding off for the limited edition U2 Wii lol!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Is Twilight Princess too long?
« on: December 28, 2006, 02:11:24 AM »
Too long? Hell NO.... In a way I'm just so egar to pass it and see what happens next I wish I could "hurry it all up". Having said that I am taking it really slowly and getting the most out of it.

I love the fact that I am going to be putting more than 70 hours into it by the time I'm finished. The more Zelda the better! Loving every minute, sometimes I find myself getting frustrated if I get lost or stuck in videogames, but not TP, I'm just loving it all!!

And replay value... I still play through Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask all the time, and they were 2 generations ago (Wind Waker too)... So I think I'll be revisiting this game once done.

Wii all love Wii Sports.

Wii Sports 2 will sell like HOTCAKES! The bundling idea was the smartest move Nintendo have made this generation!

« on: December 21, 2006, 06:47:15 PM »
Well I had been thinking the same thing for quite a while, so I believe it would be brilliant if that happened.

Pokemon Stadium/Colliseum all sucked. Been waiting for a true Pokemon RPG for a long time (along with a lot of people) and I just don't understand why Nintendo don't do it. Get Sqaure Enix on it, they'll do a damn fine job!!

Nice avatar by the way, I just started playing that game again in the absence of my Wii.

Still this will be a Monday where GOOD games on Nintendo systems will be coming out.  Plus the first titles from Capcom and Konami.  I don't really care about the other third parties.  When it comes to 8 and 16-bit Nintendo consoles those two third parties are everything.

Too bad next Monday is back to the usual "lousy NES games no one wants".

None of the games released on Christmas suck though.  All are worth buying unless you own them already.  Though you may want to hold out for Street Fighter II Turbo.

You are a very bitter person.  Nothing makes you happy.

Lol, yeah I noticed that nothing makes him happy. However, I may just be a stupid n00b, but I reckon his posts are great!!Always funny and very true, dispite usually being negative lol.

Super Mario Bros.! YAY!!

WHAT? That is terrble. I just sent my broken Wii to Nintendo Australia and will NOT be happy if they do similar!!

GTA games are very fun... for a while

Besides, GTA on Wii, sells consoles, console sales recruit 3rd party developers, more developers, more games... lol, but we all know that. Hope it happens.

Ah, no they don't. That sounds great, I wish they did that. When I rang they were even sure they had a Wii around to replace it with if needed, as demand was so high... But she discovered that there were some lol.

I am missing my Wii... and starting to worry that I'll be Wii-less for longer than expected....

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Wii analysis in this next gen war.
« on: December 19, 2006, 11:08:57 PM »
Graphics.... a thing of the past... lol

Seriously, how beautiful does Zelda Twighlight Princess look? Gamecube standard graphics, but that is all we need, and I could not have asked for more. Beautiful art direction, the graphics are rich in emotion and detail.

Hell, I wouldn't even care if the new Zelda games were produced to resemble the Ocarina of Time graphics! Would the Animal Crossing experiance change if the graphics didn't look like it was designed for the GameBoy Color? To me it wouldn't have.

Of course we have not seen the machine at it's potential, but we always new that it would be the weaker that the powerful units of the XBOX 360 or PS3 (which are both exellent machines)... I'd rather the innovative technology of the Wii, rather than being able to play Tony Hawks 27...... same gameplay, just beefed up graphics each time.

By the way, I was playing that Rockstar Table Tennis game on the XBOX 360 today, and I was having a ball, its great fun... But I couldn't help but feel I'd rather be playing it using the Wii remote, than have the graphics just that little bit better....

As for analysising the Wii in the console war... Who knows how it'll fair, but things look promising... (but I rememeber thinking that about the Gamecube too)

Ohh lol, I've only made about 5 posts since coming back (used to post all the time about a year ago) and didn't realise someone had similar lol.

Yeahhhhhh, I know I know.... it was only temporary until I uploaded a sketched pic of Majora himself that I have, just tryin to resize it without it losing resolution... It's really frustrating!!  Anyway, I'll replace it.

My avatar is obviously Majora's Mask....

I use it because I beleive I am the ONLY Zelda fan who would say that this game is their FAVOURITE of the series..... The game has many fans, but who out there takes this as there favourite over OoT or WW and now TP... lol!

Yeah, I tried both Wii Sports and Twighlight Princess and a friends Wii Sports disc and all of them did not work. It was making the strangest noise trying to read the discs...

But what I'm most confused about is the fact that my Gamecube games played perfectly. That seems really odd to me.

I have, since then however, rang Nintendo Australia, and they were really good and told me to send the console back and that it will be given top priority and the process of repairing/replacing that usually takes 10 days would be cut, as, according the the lady at Nintendo, it is the first Wii that has been sent back to them in this country, and also said it would be back before Chirstmas. Weird, but hopefully all turns out good and I'm only Wii-less for a few days...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Official "Virtual Console Mondays" Thread
« on: December 18, 2006, 03:57:10 AM »
Hey guys! There has been plenty of complaints about the VC and I don't think people should take to much of a negative approch. However, I don't think that it should be considered a bonus, or an extra though, and I don't think people should just be happy with "what they get" as we are paying a decent amount of money to buy the games and the Wii console itself and want the service to be provided to satisfy.

But I think Nintendo are handling this appropriately and I, personally, am satified with what is currently on offer and the rate that the games are being released. I was a Sega kid and owned a Mega Drive (Genesis) and didn't own a SNES (but did buy the SNES and the gems of the console later) and really look forward to playing the games I owned and loved on the Mega Drive, and also the SNES games that I never got to play and the ones that I loved so dearly!!

It's fun to be anticipating so intensely the release of such old games and revisiting the games of old brings back many memories. Whilst I am very happy personally, I do understand the complaints of some.

Bring on the SNES Final Fantasys!! :-)
