I checked ESRB's website and this game is rated M for    Blood and Gore, Suggestive Themes, Violence whereas the original was rated M for Animated Blood & Gore, Animated Violence, Mature Sexual Themes. This sounds like a dirrty game to me. Although it may have been toned down for the Gamecube.

Toned down?  Was Eternal Darkness toned down?  I think not.  Was Resident Evil and 0 toned down?  I think not!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Gamecube Broadband Adapter!

Unless your playing Phantasy Star Online.  I play PSO both on Modem and Broadband.  See I can only get dial up in my dorm room.  But the Community Center here on base has xbox's connected to the base LAN.  So I just go over there and hook my GC up to the base LAN and use it's ultra high speed connection.

What I don't get is why people whine and complain about products like this.  About how it's cheating or it ruins the game experence or whatever.

It's this simple.  If you don't like the product, then don't buy it.  If you never buy it, it in no way affects you or your gameplay expericnce.  Let peope do what they want with their games and ruin them if they want.

I'm not so cool with this plan.  This reaks of "simple" crap like Kirby Air Ride.

No, it really reeks of more ultra horrible games like Wario Ware.[/sarcasm]

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Malfuntioning Controller ^^;;

I had an xbox controller that did something like that.  It sucked playing Halo.  Nobody belives you lost because of your controller, till they play with it themselves.

My wavebird has been through a lot.  It has numerous nicks in the plastic, the control pad, if not used in a while, sticks and I have to kinda break it in.  The on/off button sticks.  And ocasionally, the C-stick isn't as smooth as I'd like.  There's lots of visibl dirt around the Y button.  But it still functions fine.

Now another wavebird I have.  That thing didn't like to work with brand new batteries in it.  It's newer than my junked up one.  But when I play, it's almost like there's a lot in interfence.  Nothing fixes it.  So I use my junked up one.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Gamecube online play????

The only people who don't really like it, are those that have no interest in online gaming at all. Which would explain why nobody you see likes it, if you haven't left a nintendo site.

Not true.  I love to play Starcraft online still and Dark Age of Camelot.  And Halo on the PC.  The only people who really do like xbox live a lot are people that would rather play online on their xbox over a PC or don't have a PC.

Dude, I was playing it on the Base LAN, which is faster than 99% of the people using xbox live.

The Zombie Luke is absolutly right.  Xbox live really sucks.  I saw less lag playing Halo on a 56K modem on PC than some of these Live games.  Plus there are no really great online games for xbox anyway.

I had lag playing a guy in Capcom vs. SNK 2.  How pathetic is that.  There are only 2 players, using bassically SNES graphics.

The only way I'd even take Clone Wars is if you payed me.  And you delivered it to my door.  I'd take the money and throw the disk out the window.  Xbox live is so pathetic.  My base has a few xbox's hooked up.

I'll stick to my Dark Age of Camelot and StarCraft, as well as PSO on a good old cube (where you ONLY have to pay for the hunters liecence, and it works on dial up).

They seem to be bending over backwards for those collage punks who do nothing but party all year long.

But what about us in the military?  The people who protect these collage kids and protects their freedoms.

I know I do more work than probably 99% of all the people I graduated with.

General Gaming / RE:uh oh, I like VF4e better than SC2
« on: September 05, 2003, 10:18:05 PM »
I have only ever played 1 good 3D fighting game.  And thats SC2.  Period.  MKDA, VF, DOA, they all stink.  The movement is way to slow and stiff, I guess is how I'd explain it.  But SC2 is the only 3D fighter to feel like a 2D fighter.

About a month later I decided to call them and tell about this (I had already had my SP repaired). They extended the warrenty, picked up the GCN via Fed Ex, couldn't repair it and gave me a new GCN in 3 days. All this happened without spending a penny. But, yes, to get numbers, you can check on the back of your products to for the repair number.

My experience with my GBA was exactly just like that.  Nintendo is great with customer service.

So the PS2's actually stopped breaking this month.

Well, I hate 3D fighting games.  Except for SC2 that is.  It's an awesome game.

Well, to bad it wasn't Sony's decision to delay CA on the PS2.

If I had enough money, I could get a stupid simple game I made on the GC.

IR ports for wireless controllers sould be built into the console.

*coughRFcough*

Games should be like the 64DD (encased in plastic) for durability.

That way, they could simulate the NES type games(for if they decided to go that way), and still be disk based.  And even if they don't go the nostalgic way, it's still a good idea.

No matter what they decide to do, the console should be user friendly.

That is the most important hardware feature.  Second is Developer friendly.
