Nintendo Gaming / RE: Why not a Viewtifull Joe Advance?
« on: June 14, 2003, 03:55:14 AM »
They could always use a vertical scroll setup (a la Super Mario Bros. Deluxe) to allow the player to view things above the visible area of the screen, allowing the characters to take up more screen space. Of course, this would limit it to a degree, and the vertical scroll is hard to get right. Plus a lot of VJ's visual appeal is the movement of the objects(rotating some flat objects) although it's subtle sometimes. This would be fairly hard to do right, but it's a possibility. Let's hope VJ sells well, then mabie we'll get a GBA version. KEEP THOSE FINGERS CROSSED!

stay Viewtiful people.

Speaking of plot, I'm just happy it's the MGS storyline and not MGS2's. My friend just beat substance, and the storyline takes so many turns he's not even sure what is actually happening most of the time. And the ending is VERY unexpected. I'm sure they fill in tons of story details that were not in the first one. I just hope this will turn some of the jadded mainstream gamers onto the cube.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: GC Keyboard
« on: June 14, 2003, 03:25:42 AM »
It's about time someone came out with an affordable keyboard. The PSO keyboard/controller looked good...but import stores want a fortune for them. Let's hope soon we'll have more online games to use it with.

General Gaming / RE: Mounting GCN on wall?
« on: June 14, 2003, 03:16:09 AM »
I had the same idea if mounting it on the wall! (great minds think alike!) I've been thinking...the cube's handle is strong, so anyone could make a device that holds the cube by it's handle.  All you have to do is design a holder. My idea was a wooden holder that mirrors the shape of the cube's handle.  The cube would appear to defy gravity, and would look swift. Just make sure you attach the sweet holder you design to a wall stud, or the holder might pull away from the wall.  Aoi Tsuki's idea of a cradle rocks too.

Just make sure to keep it Viewtiful people!

crap sells well on PS2 because as my good friend josh puts it "The're mostly consumers, not gamers." Does it get hype? let's buy it!  Is it on sale? let's buy it!  Does it look like it has the faintest hope of being something-like cool? BUY!  Let's face it, we play the gamecube because were demanding GAMERS. We expect too much from games because we're used to Nintendo's quality. Hell, give most of us a PS2 and we'll find creative uses for it, like a coffee table, or for batting practice.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: what is harvest moon?

It's fairly limited, unlike AC, but it's very original. It's almost a labor of love. I find the H.M series difficult, monotonous, severly repeditive, and lacking, but I think it's an unwritten rule you gotta own at least one version of the game. It looks like they've added alot of new stuff for cube, so I'm probably gonna check it out.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Cube ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!
« on: June 13, 2003, 12:24:19 AM »
Though we don't know how the setup will be. They gotta pay for servers, domains, ect. They might go with an ad when you log onto the server (a "splash screen") while you connect. Heck, for online A.C. I'd put up with billboards in my A.C. town. The big N's probably has had it figured out for months now, and will shock the gaming word with it. (like they always do!)
