Nintendo Gaming / Regarding Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg
« on: September 25, 2003, 12:00:25 PM »
Hi, I'm from Denmark (Europe....yes we don't have AC whaaahahaha...) and I read the rewiev on Billy Hatcher on IGN. They say the sound is dreeeadfull and I'm wondering if the music and soundfx are on two seperate volume controls or not. Ign advises you to hit the mute button but that just can't be true.

My fear  comes from the two Super Monky Ball games where you can't turn down the music seperately which is totally not-understandable. I mean isn't videogames about freedom and beeing able to choose.

I'm curious on this game but playing a whole game with the mute button on or play a whole game listening to something that's bwuuuerrhhhhhrrraaarrrggg scares me.

If anyone over there in the US knows the answer two this I would be very greatfull.

I didn't post this in the "tips and tricks" forum as I don't see as a tip on the game, just information.

And also....is this game any good or what?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Mario Sunshine: Noki Bay - The Shell's Secret
« on: September 13, 2003, 01:48:07 AM »
Concerning: Nokia Bay, the Shells Secret.
Hi, I just saw your post. Have you done the stage yet? If not, let me know and I'll go into the game again and recall the stage.

3
Where did you find that piece of info on the PAL version???? I'm very curious because I have searched for this all over everywhere.
Thanx anyway, I'm gonna try it out!!!!

4
I have completed the game on both easy and normal mode on the same file but with regular grades.-Nothing happened and I'm now on hard mode with that file. That's why I wonder if you have to do it in a certain rank aswell, or if you have to bye and upgrade all the avaliable suits first or something.
PLEASE somebody heeeeelp.....I want that suit!
*bangs head consistantly down in table*

Regarding the PAL version of P.N.03.
Hi, I'm from Europe but nobody knows how to get the suits here. I know that Capcom have cranked up the criteria for achieving these 2 suits in the PAL version, but I don't know what the criteria is. Is it completions, rankings, bying all suits, upgrading all suits, completion level, completion time, not dying or what....????
I have completed both easy and normal level but with regular grades and with use of continues. I'm currently at level 9 on hard mode....with the ultra blazer suit.......
Damnit, I want the BLACKBIRD suit.
Please, I know this is an US. site but if anybody knows how to get these 2 suits in the PAL version, I will be forever thankfull to that person.

From a poor Animal Crossless European.......

-Also, I didn't know that he could glide ALL the way to the other side. I was gliding/hopping like a moron and barely made the blue coin from the red triangle, when I "discovered" this on the way back. You're totally right. The turbo nozle wasn't required for that. I love when I "discover" a new move or something late in the game. It makes me feel stupid, but it's always great to get something "new" from the game you thought you knew so well.
Like in Zelda WW, when I remembered that the graple hook could be used to steal items...After I completed the game. -So now my 2. quest involves a "brand new" graple hook. I ought to find this embaressing to admit but I still think it's great when it happens!!

From a stupid (but happy) guy in Denmark who can't help it.

Thanx DRJ!!

Obviously I have been looking for it in the wrong place. -I can't wait till I find it now. I hate when something's "incomplete" in a game. I haven't played SMS for over ½ a year but now I've decided to get all 120 Shines. I don't understand why "everybody" complaints about this game (unless it's because it isn't BETTER that SM64...but that's a tough standard to meet any day of the week). I think it's brilliant, solid and beautifull.

Thanx again!!

The not so poor afterall guy in Denmark.

Concerning Ikaruga: (one of the BEST games I know of!!!)

I haven't been able to download any perfect runs, except for chapter 2, so I'm forced to dig the demo's in Conquest mode.

The problem is that the game is showing me dot eater techniques half the time and blasting max chains the other half.

Since I'm absolutely most interested in seeing the blasting techniques, I've been trying to figure out when it's showing me what.

Is it just only shown in certain stages, is controlled by the internal clock in my Gamecube, is it random or WHAT?????

Any constructive help on this will be sincerely appreciated!!!

From a poor guy in Denmark. (The country with NO Ikaruga Appreciate DVD and NO Animal Crossing game....AAAAARRGG!!!!!)

Thanx 4 your advice, but if you mean the litlle gap right under the "island" whit the very highest poles, the gap only contains 2 yellow coins (a blue was also present) but no turbo nozle.

And what about the hologram on the island with the swing? Any ideas??...Anyone.....

Anyway, I'll try and do the triangle in one of the harder wayz.

10
Concerning Super Mario Sunshine:
My turbo nozle on Gelato Beach (on the small island with the swing behind the start point) is a hologram on all 8 stages. I can't find other turbo nozles on Gelato Beach and I've gotten 105 shines in total. I have acquired all regular shines and I'm now going for the secret stages + the blue coins. There's a red paint triangle on the right side of Gelato Beach and the abscent of the turbo nozle is driving me CRAAAZY!!!!!
A big KUDOS to anyone who have the answer for this, since I have given up on ever getting it.

TalkBack / Enter the Matrix Sells Like Hotcakes
« on: May 23, 2003, 02:06:29 AM »
I bought Ikaruga the other day (one HAPPY European citizen!!!) and I tried the Matrix game just out of couriosity. -Maybe it was because I wanted to confirm what I had already suspected.....:

This game is utter crap.

It felt more like playing Syphoon Filter on PS1 than it felt like an epic add on for a state of the art movie concept.

The graphics were less that mediocre, The gameplay seemed lame, the controls were unconvincing.

I feel pity for the poor souls who buy this game in expectation of some "matrix like" experience.-Let me say it again:

This game is utter crap.

Go see the movie twice instead of bying this game. -And no....you don't even have to rent the game.

That's just my advice.

Nintendo Gaming / The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker General Help
« on: May 10, 2003, 07:55:56 AM »
Hello there!

I'm kinda ½wayz through the game (I'm living in Denmark, Europe, so I just got it last week*yeay*).

Concerning Windfall Island:

1)I'm going mad trying to find out how to light the lighthouse/ferris wheel. I pressed the switch high on the backside and I know I'm supposed ride the wheel to the top and get off and shoot a light arrow into the "black swirling thing" (the wind IS facing north) and this is where my headache occurs; What black spinning thing? I only see two big yellow horns which are the big lights I suppose but nothing happens when I shoot fire arrows into those.

I really want to do this, not so much because of the material reward but because it anoys me that it isn't lit because it should be. -And I want it to shine....bahwaah..

2)Also; I've put flowers in all the pots I can find but I miss some since I havn't been rewarded yet. I've only been able to find pots in "obvious"places, so if you know of any "easy to miss" -locations I would be happy to know. I really want to put flowers in all of the pots because it looks nice!! (And beeing an European citizen makes me VERY envious about the fact that we DON'T have Animal Crossing!)

3)Last; I've been trying to get a heart piece at the auction but I keep beeing offered joy pendants, which I refuse to buy.-Do I have to pusrchase an item in order to move on to the next offer, or do all items come in ramdom order?

I really hope you have the time and effort to answer these questions. If so, I will be very greatfull!!

Also accept my appologies if the questtions have been asked(and answered) in previous posts but I didn't want to go through some 7+ pages. If it in fact has occured, just tell me and I'll go through the pages instead.

with all respect.....

Please, does anybody know if Animal Crossing will ever hit Europe? The more I read about it in the forums, the more I know that I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS GAME. Please can someone tell me before I have to go out and buy a freeloader and import the game.

With sincerely kudos to anyone who can help me!!!!!

TalkBack / EA Reveals Need For Speed Underground
« on: May 01, 2003, 12:43:14 AM »
My apologies mr. cmoney.

I wasn't aware that the Need for Speed series was that old. I was only referring to the recent couple of games.

Please accept my apologies.

*takes a bow, then quickly runs away*

I still think that Burnout 2 rules though.

If it doesn't feature fully destructible cars (Which I doubt because of the licencing and the history of Need 4 Speed (haven't played any though-they've all looked like sh*t so far)) it won't compete with Burnout 2 for the "street racer" title.

Destructible cars are becomming the standard and therefore people  are starting to expect it.

Wonder what GT4 will do about this?

When you shoot it in enough small pieces (pink ones) they all turn homing towards you. That's when you should do your spin/jump/squirt move.(Rotate+A+R).

Anywaz, it's quite tough, so I recommend that you stand on the seashore because they don't go into the water as easily as on the ground. Rather that than try to run for health coins in the huts, which will more like cost you more life that gained.

Hope this can get you further.
