The PAL sales of the Operation Rainfall games will heavily influence localization decisions.

In my opinion, that's a bit of a leap to make.  If one pays attention closely to what Reggie says, it becomes apparent he's an expert at saying practically nothing while letting the reader fill in the blanks with whatever they wish.

"[...] will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles."  Notice how that literally commits NOA to absolutely nothing.  His response was nothing more than mollification. The U.S. market is many times larger than the European one--what could possibly be gained by watching sales there?

The AAC feed is broken.  In the newest item description, there's an ampersand that needs to be changed to an entity code:


Zach & Mike's thoughts needs to be changed to Zach (ampersand)amp(semicolon) Mike's thoughts.

(I had to spell it out because the blog comment code improperly renders it.  The forum doesn't do this.)


I find the W3C's feed validator to be invaluable.

I'm a fan of the whole "Extra Life" feature idea.  Too often, coverage for games is concentrated solely before the game's release.  The coverage seems to follow this timeline:

• rumors
• speculation
• predictions
• anticipation
• reviews
• ..... [crickets]....

Reviews are great and all, but I also like reading about someone's anecdotal experience with game.  It's exceptionally rare for me to purchase a game on or near release date, so I like to learn outside the marketing hype.
