Nintendo Gaming / I discovered pirated games in my collection
« on: June 23, 2003, 04:44:37 AM »
I could be wrong, but the way I understand it from ebay VERO (Verified Rights Owner Program) you can't join it if you don't own the rights. So what you have to do is complain to the owner rights (in this case Nintendo) and it's up to them to do something against the seller.

I did complain to Nintendo, it's very easy, just go on their website and email them. They asked me to send either the game or photos of the game and boards.

Nintendo Gaming / I discovered pirated games in my collection

I usually buy my games at Ebay, on these auctions that offer game cartridge only. Recently I read something on a forum about someone who bought a pirated game on ebay. So I started looking at my games...and I already found one pirated game (confirmed by Nintendo) and 3 others I have good reasons to believe are not originals. This is really pissing me off. I though Nintendo was the most active in anti-piracy, but the guys who sold me theses games on ebay are powersellers with a long positive feedback.

If you bought games on ebay or any used games I suggest you take a look at the stickers and circuit boards. Nintendo have only a few games on photo but they show the difference between original and counterfeit games.

Some people may think I complain for nothing, since I paid less for my games and most of my games work fine. But I can tell you that one of the games I got worked fine for a while, until it started getting some serious problems, like freezing and sound and graphics glitches. But I think the problem is pretty bad and anybody could get one of theses games without knowing they are not buying an original. Thoses games are around and I think there's a lot of them.

Nintendo Gaming / Game Cube will have online gaming in 2003-2004?
« on: June 08, 2003, 05:34:45 AM »
Sorry if i'm not allowed to post this here but this is the biggest news for a long time and no sites talk about it. Gamespy president has been interviewed (see gamespy.com) and Nintendo is working with Gamespy to bring online gaming to the Game Cube. Apparently it will be up to publishers to charge for online games, but chance are good that Nintendo will not charge it? Great no?

TalkBack / Sega Reveals E3 Line-up

It's goog to see more multi-platform games from Sega, but still... This is very disappointing for Game Cube. We get just more of the same: Sonic Games and PSO.

Where is Skies of Arcadia 2????

Look like Sega is moving where the money is: PS2

Nintendo Gaming / Does the SP light work good?
« on: April 20, 2003, 08:11:10 AM »
Yeah you can see very good. In feel you don't like it you can always turn off the light, but it's always better with the light even under sunlight. There is no problem at all, the light is just great.

I have a new GBA SP and 2 games: Defender of the Crown and Phantasy Star Collection. PSC run smooth but Defender keep freezing. It happened 3 time in 15 minutes of gameplay so far! This really stinks

On their website they say they have an "improve marriage system". Im lookin forward to this game. I never played it but I like Animal Crossing and I think it's a similar kind of game. And I want the GBA version too so I can use the extras.

Nintendo Gaming / Sega!
« on: April 17, 2003, 04:12:15 AM »
I really don't care if it's hard or not to port games. If it's so much work why Sega give us none of the more interesting games? Something like:

Shinobi
Virtua Fighter 4
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Toe Jam and Earl
House of the Dead 3

While we get ports of DC games and Monkey Ball games. Sega didn't even try one mature original game on the gamecube!

Nintendo Gaming / GameCube Newbie questions
« on: February 18, 2003, 03:31:32 PM »
I'm new here too, and I find the rules excessive. I see why they exist, but too much is too much. It's a forum after all. Just my opinion. And don't tell me crap about if I don't like the rules I can go somewhere else. I know that.

Nintendo Gaming / Sega and Nintendo
« on: February 14, 2003, 06:04:25 AM »
I'm very dissapointed with Sega support for Nintendo. Sure we got games but mostly ports of DC games. XBox and PS2 get all the newest games. I know nobody will agree with me, but I wish Sega could change his way. I would like to see fewer games by Sega but ported on all the consoles. This way everybody will be happy. That may be less profitable for Sega, but what about the loyal fans of Sega? Some people like me supported Sega a long time. And what Reward we get? Now we need to buy 3 consoles to play their games. This is because of this attitude that a lot of people didn't support the dreamcast. Sega have very little respect for older gamers, unlike Nintendo.

Right, but I still think they should be honest in their reviews. I guess that's what happens when you get too big.

Nintendo Gaming / IGN biaised?

I wanted to buy Zoocube so I did a search for reviews of the game. I read around 10 different reviews. Most scores was around 7.5 or 8. Then I fall on IGN review of the game: 5.3! I find it strange that one of the most know site is the only one with a bad review. There is some very harsh comments on the game, especially the graphics, when all others reviewers said the graphics are good. I'm buying the game anyway, i really like puzzle games.
