Nintendo Gaming / ***SPOILER*** Confused on ending...
« on: May 05, 2003, 04:17:11 PM »
That may be, and is possible, that Nintendo wants to head in another direction. But if there is no Hyrule, then the other games won't exist, especially if WW comes before the other games.

And it wasn't a death wish, he didn't say "I don't want you to call the next land Hyrule", he just said that the next land won't be Hyrule, as in it just won't be the same. Very subjective, the king.

It may not even be Link and Tetra that makes the new Hyrule. They may find new land, but it may not be Hyrule. I personally think that WW left lots of openings for the sequels. First, Link and Tetra find a new Hyrule. The Great Deku Tree might bring the land together as one, like he said, making that the new Hyrule. Also, the water might get drained out somehow, revealing the ruins of the old hyrule, then they'll work on its restoration...ya never know...Nintendo/Shiggy will come up with something, no doubt

Just cause the King says it, doesn't mean it has to be true. He is just so hung up on his Hyrule, that he thinks that it just won't be the same. Thats all. There is nothing stopping them from naming the new land they find Hyrule.

Nintendo Gaming / What happened to the Kokiri?

erm, hi peoples.

I haven't read ALL of the replies so don't kill me if this hasn't already been said.

Alot of you are fussing over the gorons as being/not being the traders. Well, for a start, one of those jumping fish tell you about them, which strongly suggests gorons. And also some of you wanted proof. Well, just whip out your trusted deku leaf, and blow a gust of wind into the traders, and the hat will fly up revealing their face...their GORON face, I might add.

I reckon here in Australia, people are gonna slowly gain respect for Nintendo again, especially with releases like Zelda and Metroid. It may not suddenly make the Cube the bestest console in the general public's opinion, but by the time Nintendo bring out their next console, people will start buying lots again and it will RULE THE WORLD!!! Muaahahahaaahahahaha!

...maybe.

'twould be nice if Australia could get the demo sometime...

Target is really slack...they're still playing the demo disk that came on launch (SSBM is one of 'em)

Big W has a more updated one, with Starfox Adventures & Mario Party 4...

but...NO...ZELDA! *cries*

I pre-ordered the US Version of TWW + freeloader...I can't stand the wait...

If I had to wait longer, I would seriously consider repeatedly bashing my head against a brick wall until it comes.

"MUST *smack* GET *smack* ZEL...*smack*..DA! *smack*" /repeat until May

Cool...
I pre-ordered my copy from GPStore.com.au in February. Now when I go to check my order status it says "Zelda: The Wind Waker + bonus!". Woohoo!

...even though I have ordered an import copy anywayz, but its still not guarenteed I'll get the US bonus disk with that (first in first served crap). Still, great news for Australia!!!

*waves the Australian flag*

Nintendo Gaming / favorite Zelda game quotes, anyone?
« on: February 27, 2003, 01:05:26 PM »
I remember one now that made me laugh!
In Ocarina of Time, when Link meets Ganondorf outside Hyrule castle, and Link draws his sword at him. Ganondorf does this quick evil laugh, but the text of his laugh is still going for about ten seconds afterwards.

"heh..." *3 seconds* "heh..." *3 seconds* "heh..." *3 seconds*

Sorta adds a corny touch to an otherwise serious scene

Nintendo Gaming / The Wind Waker to recieve "unprecedented" score from EGM.
« on: February 23, 2003, 05:54:24 PM »
I think that if we simply don't think of travelling as a task to be achieved, we'll probably get alot more fun out of it. I used to make sure I took long-cuts in Ocarina of Time, while riding Epona, cause I thought it was just fun to do. Maybe thats why the other two guys thought the boat travelling was not tedious and the other did.

And, yeah, Link to the Past had a fair bit of travelling involved (especially at the beginning), but I'm sure we didn't care

The person that told you that musta been pulling your leg, 'cause The Wind Waker is officially being released sometime in May (early May, some say). Check it out in the Nintendo Australia website

Oh, and btw, Mario, I emailed Nintendo Australia about the bonus disc, too, like you said.

Nintendo Gaming / For All Aussies Looking To Pre-order Zelda online
« on: February 13, 2003, 01:56:29 PM »
I know that it's really hard to find a place anywhere to pre-order Zelda: TWW online in Australia, as there isn't really an exact release date, all we know is that it comes out in May sometime. Well, I think you may be glad to know, that I did a bit of searching and found a real good site to get it from:

www.gpstore.com.au

They have pre-orders for many GC games other than Zelda. You'll have to check it out. The prices are below the rrp, and the postage is free! What's even better is I emailed them and they said that if any pre-order deals come up, we'll be guarenteed to get it

I hope this helps some people in Australia that have the need to make sure they are guarenteed to get the new Zelda when it comes out.
