Sabi's been reaffirmed about Paper Mario, now completely confident with no skepticism! https://twitter.com/New_WabiSabi/status/1223328475668303872

Apologies for the seemingly random bump but I want to spread awareness as much as possible.

The Paper Mario trailer shown only for a snippet in the video is pretty much lost media! If the original uploader has the full footage or if anyone else does, if you could share it that would be very appreciated by Mario & Paper Mario fans interested in the earliest build of this game! For reference, here's a video I put together of the existing footage as opposed to the available audio, the fact we have that suggests someone surely must have the video that goes with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd-XlPSn81A

The main thing I remember is how the survey they put out for Super Paper Mario was rigged AF and didn't let you check that you liked both the story and the 3D flip ability, leading to apparently less than 1% of players saying they liked the story, so they haven't bothered with story in the series since. To this day that salts me up, SPM story was godlike.

I know I bought a big lot of Nintendo stuff on eBay once, I think some of it came from Club Nintendo. There's a game rack with the Club Nintendo logo on each side, an 8-bit Mario plushie, a Super Mario Galaxy coin. I also bought the Year of Luigi soundtrack online, which was IIRC exclusive to Japanese Club Nintendo.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Which Mario & Luigi game do you like the most?

It's close between Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story. I'd say I consider them equal, but I gave my vote to BIS here since it had less.

Partners in Time and Dream Team are also fantastic though. I'm not a fan of Paper Jam, as someone who is a die-hard of both Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi and has dreamed of a crossover between them, one with such a sterile character cast and vanilla story felt like such a tease and waste of the concept.

Hopefully the rumor of a traditional Paper Mario comes true, and it's actually a full return with the story depth and original cast of characters like the first 3, not some "it's an RPG again but still all toads and shallow story"

Nintendo Gaming / Paper Mario 3DS Beta (2010)
« on: January 28, 2020, 12:09:10 AM »
Hello! I'm asking on this site in hopes that maybe someone has this video tucked away somewhere. The video I'm referring to is only online in a very small snippet uploaded for this site in 2010: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CRv4XmbrmQ

it's to this date the only footage of this early build of Sticker Star, and given the differences even in this footage such as having the Chain Chomp partner, and the fact that the entire audio from this footage is available, I find it hard to believe the trailer itself is completely lost.

Here is a link to the post associated with the video: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/23500/3ds-mario-games-in-motion The broken Flash links used to be full audio from the trailers, including the Paper Mario one in its entirety. But the trailer itself has been missing all these years.

If anyone has the trailer or knows how to help me in any way, the Paper Mario fan community would greatly appreciate it! This build of Sticker Star is like a holy grail to some of us.

Super Paper Mario is a great game anyways, still wish more people classified it with the first 2 games and not Sticker Star, it had the story and characters at least.

Game looks amazing so far. Just need them to finally confirm my most-wanted character, Fawful. Always loved that character, and it would be a great way to celebrate the re-release of his first game on the Wii U Virtual Console. Also they haven't confirmed veterans like Bowser Jr. or King Boo yet. But other than that this game looks like definitely the best in the series.
